As a graduate of Texas A&M School of Law, John has established himself as a respected Dallas foreclosure attorney in the DFW Metroplex. Growing up in a legal family, with a father who is a retired judge and four uncles who are successful trial and litigation attorneys, John knew which career he was going to pursue.
With over a decade in the legal industry, John’s early law experience spans real estate, oil and gas, estates and trusts, finance, and bankruptcy. After returning to Texas from California, he worked for 5 years in the nation’s largest high-volume bankruptcy and consumer law firms, learning every aspect of the business and honing his legal skills.
In 2015, John started his own firm with the simple premise of informing his clients to bankruptcy alternatives. For instance most clients thought you had to file a bankruptcy to stop a foreclosure on a home. John provides other options such as filing a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to stop a foreclosure without filing a bankruptcy.
As the managing partner at the J. Gannon Helstowski Law Firm, John not only stops foreclosure but also covers real estate law, business law, files lawsuits against debt collectors, and student loan debt management.
